Male Stripper Component

The Stripper Male Component Settings form can be opened from Master Tool Settings or the Stripper Creator tool.

These settings represent all the values required by the Stripper Creator tool that relate to a single physical male stripping component: its type, dimensions, and the symbols that should be used to represent it.

Male Stripper Component

Name

Enter the unique MTS name.

Description

Enter an optional description for these settings.

Type

Claw, Stripping Pin, Fork or Male Knife; from the pulldown list select the component type.

For claws and forks, add the Size of the component (the distance between the points).  For stripping pins, add the Diameter.  For male knives, add the Length.

Symbol origin

Specify where the origin point within the symbol that is to be used for the component resides relative to the component.

Symbol

Specify the symbol that is to be used for the component.  For claws, a Left and a Right symbol must be specified.  For stripping pins, a Dieboard symbol may also be specified, which is a symbol that is not placed in the male stripping unit but in the dieboard.

Single point

Determines if the component should be treated as having no dimension, existing at a single point (claws and forks only).

Do not place this component automatically

If this option is checked, then this component will never be used automatically even if it is contained within a male component library used by male waste settings which define automatic placement.

Clash Detection

Choose the radio button to determine which method of clash detection you wish to use.

  • Minimum spacing - add the spacing value you wish to use; any other component that comes within this distance of the component will be determined to be clashing.
  • Explicit mask - add the symbol (or symbols for claws) that you wish to be used to determine the area around the component where another component may not encroach without being identified as clashing.

Alternative Symbols

This allows alternative symbols to be named and specified for the component, which may be used in special circumstances to identify special flavours of the same component, such as to represent different heights or location marking.

Add

This will open the Alternative Symbols form to select a new symbol to add.

Change

This will open the Alternative Symbols form to change the settings of the highlighted symbol.

Delete

This will delete the highlighted symbol.
