Move

  Edit Bar controls: Projected Snap, X, Y, Z, Reset All, X Offset, Y Offset, Z Offset, Affect Children, Apply.

This tool allows you to move an object about the 3D scene by clicking and dragging along specified axes (using the Axis Control) , or by a defined amount along specified axes using the Edit Bar controls.

X, Y & Z - allow you to specify the axes for click and drag movement.

X, Y & Z Offsets - allows you to enter a specified shift amount for the required axes.

Affect Children - allows child objects to move with the parent object.

Select an object and run the tool. If the 3D Visibility options are set to display the Axis Control, you can hover over an axis to highlight it and then click & drag to move the object.

You can hold the Shift key down whilst dragging to lock movement .

If no object has been selected, clicking on an object will select it. You may then use the Axis Controls to move the object.

To move an object by a specific distance, enable the required axes on the Edit Bar, enter the required distances and click Apply.

Right-mouse click and select Cancel 3D Object Move to cancel the tool.
