3D Scene Templates

3D Scene templates are an excellent way of personalising your 3D environment (for snaphots or videos) without having to modify every 3D scene that you create.

3D Templates can include:

A background (i.e. a background colour, a colour gradient or an image); environment settings (ambient lighting etc); visibility settings (geometry, effects, selected objects, viewing distance) plus 3D Objects (such as light sources and a floor/studio wall) & materials.

A template must be saved from an existing 3D scene before it can be re-used.

3D Templates can be previewed via the 3D Template settings button on the edit bar, which is displayed when you run the 3D Viewer tool.

3D Templates are stored in Options>Master Tool Settings>3D>Scene Templates.

NOTE: One especially useful feature of 3D Scene templates is that light sources saved as part of a 3D scene template are fully editable, unlike light sources saved as 3D Components.
