This tool allows the area of selected entities to be calculated.
For this tool to function, it is important that the selected entities form closed loops - one loop forming the perimeter of the shape and any others forming holes within the shape.
Once the tool is activated the results are displayed in a floating toolbox with the option to copy them to the Output toolbox.
Three values are given:
- Area and Perimeter of the external selected entities.
- Area and Perimeter of any internal selected holes.
- Result Area, which is the difference between the external and internal areas.
