How to use the tool

The patterns assigned to the male, female and front edge units can be inserted by checking the options required and pressing Accept. The tool will then load each pattern in turn, running the Symbol pattern tool for each.

Symbol patterns can be automatically placed or they may require you to place them. Any patterns that require you to place them manually will display a prompt on the status bar. If the pattern is to be placed once, when the pattern has been positioned the next pattern will be loaded. If the pattern is to be placed multiple times, when you have placed all instances of the current pattern, then press Continue  to continue with the next pattern. When all the symbol patterns have been placed, the Delete symbols tool is run to allow you to delete any symbols you wish.

To delete symbols placed, select the symbol to be deleted in the Symbols pull down and from the Mode select Delete Symbols or Select Symbols. If the mode is Delete Symbols, pick or box the symbols to be deleted and they will be deleted as they are picked; if the mode is Select Symbols then pick or box the symbols to keep and press Delete Others to delete the symbols not selected. Rewind will add the last deleted symbols back. Cancel  will cancel the symbol pattern mode.

When complete, press Finish  on the edit bar.
