Edit > Delete

This tool enables you to delete stripper areas/regions, restrictions and components from the design. Before activating the tool, select what you want to be deleted.

If there is an active marquee (via the Marquee  tool) which contains components, then the tool will ask you if you wish to remove all the components contained in the marquee; use this to quickly delete multiple components. If it contains no components (perhaps because they have been deleted by the tool previously), but contains restrictions, then the tool will ask you if you wish to remove all the restrictions contained in the marquee; use this to quickly remove multiple components and restrictions. Otherwise, if it contains complete waste areas, then the tool will ask you if you wish to remove all the waste areas contained in the marquee; if so, then the regions will be deleted.

If there is no active marquee, but there is a selected component, or a selected restriction which has an associated component (via the Select  tool), then that component will be deleted, without prompt. Otherwise, if there is a selected restriction, then that restriction will be deleted, without prompt. Otherwise, if there is a selected stripper area/region, then the tool will ask you if you are sure that you want to remove the entire waste area; if so, then the region will be deleted.
