Grid

Edit Bar controls: Bounding Box, Width, Height.

This tool allows you to add a new grid to the current 3D scene, which can be used to create cross-sections through folding models & mesh objects.

If the Bounding Box option is enabled, a rectangular bounding box will be automatically displayed, representing the extents of a folding model or a mesh object.

As you move the cursor around the bounding box, the nearest face will be highlighted.

Adding a new Grid using the Bounding Box option

Click to lock the grid onto the highlighted face and the Cross-Section Standard Toolbox will be displayed.

If the Bounding Box option is not enabled, the Edit Bar will display Width & Height options, allowing you to specify the size of the grid.

Click within the 3D scene to place the grid manually and the Cross-Section Standard Toolbox will be displayed.
