Snap Smart
Edit Bar controls: none.
If this tool is activated, the smart snap mode automatically chooses the nearest of the following snap points:
- End
- Intersection
- Mid
- Grid
- Quad
- Block Insert (only if Insert origins are visible)
Normally the tool does not indicate which type of point is being chosen.
The cursor is modified to show "Smart” to indicate that the snap mode is active, however, when this mode is used in conjunction with snapping cursors (see Snap Settings), the cursor indicates the position and type of the snap.
Above describes the default smart snap behaviour, the behaviour can be changed using the Snap User Settings. Snap User settings can be accessed via Draw > Snap User Settings or by selecting the Snap Settings icon from the Snap modes toolbar.
The Snap Settings > Smart Snap tab allows the user to add or removed the snap modes to be included in Smart Snap (see Snap Settings).
