This tool allows you to perform calculations which produce distance results. Activating the tool causes the Distance Expression form to appear.
Enter the distance expression including the units in the text field. If no units are specified, the distance will be calculated based upon your environment settings. Press OK and the result will be displayed in the Output toolbox. As with all results, the units in which the result is displayed corresponds to your environment settings.
For example, you may wish to calculate 10cm / 2. If your current units are millimetres then this will produce a result of 50.00mm.
