Block Split

Rubber Block Split allows you to split (rubber) blocks into two or more individual blocks along drawn split lines. The resulting blocks can be trimmed back along the split. The palettes of the smallest resulting block can also be changed to a specified palette.

The Edit Bar controls will display the following options when the tool starts:

Rubber Block Split - The current tool.

Settings - The chosen setting. From the pull down list choose the setting required. The settings are stored and configured in the Rubber Split Master Tool Settings. You can make a temporary override to the setting shown by pressing the Override Settings button (see below).

Add to Favourite - Add this setting as a personal favourite.

Override Settings - Override setting temporarily by changing the values shown in the Rubber Split Settings Form.

Replicate - Replicate the split on (rubber) blocks of the same name.

Change Palettes - If enabled, the palettes of the smallest resulting block from the split will be changed to the palette specified in the settings.

Radius - This is the size of the cursor circle which gives a visual aid when adding the split line.

To use: Start the tool and select appropriate settings and options from the Edit Bar. With the mouse, click on or slightly outside an entity in a block where the start of the split line should be, click on the opposite side of the block on an entity or slightly outside for the end of the split line. The block will be divided in 2 following the split line. Repeat as needed.

TIP: Snap points can be used for a more exact placement of the split line on the block. Crossing over multiple blocks with the split line will split all blocks along the split line.
