This tool is used to create a new symbol.
Once the tool is activated, the forms that appear depend upon your New Items settings. Some forms can be suppressed, to save you time.
When you activate the tool, the New Symbol form allows you to choose a template.
If you have switched this option on in the Database Installation>New Items settings then the Symbol Information form appears next, allowing you to enter database information such as the symbol reference (name) and code. This form may be revisited using Database>Symbol.
When a symbol is created, create the geometry in the normal way. The origin point of the layer will be the default base-point when it is inserted into a project. To change the origin point use the tool Move Block Origin. When the symbol is saved, it is saved directly to the central database and not to your working area.
