This tool is used to remove selected entities from the current block. The entities are moved to a special area called the Impact clipboard; from here the entities can be pasted into another block, another drawing layer or even another drawing using the Edit - Paste tool.
Before activating the tool, select the entities to be Cut. On activating the tool, all entities in the selection set are removed from the current block and put into the clipboard.
The contents of the clipboard are cleared out each time you use the Cut or Copy tool; if you perform several Cuts or Copies in succession, only the entities from the last Cut or Copy will remain in the clipboard.
