Overlapping Lines

Determines how the new entities are produced where entities partially overlap.

Merge overlapping lines

If this option is selected Impact will create a single entity covering the full length of the overlapping entities.

Remove overlapping section

If this option is selected Impact will create separate entities for each overlapping section. So, a pair of overlapping lines will result in three separate sections.

Bridge

Determines how to bridge the new entities.

Retain Positions

If this option is selected bridge positions will be the same as the result of the overlapping entities.

Rebridge entities

If this option is selected each new entity will be rebridged according to its palette attributes.

Merge bridges

If this option is selected the bridges from all the overlapping entities will be added to the new entities.

Merge end to end Lines

If this option is checked then all end to end lines of the same palette will be merged into a single entity.

Look Within Blocks

If this option is checked, then the entities within a sub-block will be checked for overlapping entities. If this option is not checked, the search only covers entities in the top level block.

Tolerance

This is the distance between parallel entities that will be treated as overlapping.
