This form is accessed from the Enquire - Extents tool.

Enquire on
Choose the method for determining which entities to use for the calculation:
Use settings
From the drop-down list choose the required Master Tool Setting. The calculation will depend on how this has been configured.
If this option is chosen then the Visible entities only, Recurse into sub-blocks, Include text, Include dimensions and Include graphics options will not be available.
Design
Switch this option on to calculate the cut palette path extents of the current design.
If this option is chosen then only the Visible entities only option will be available.
Current Layer
The calculation will be the extents of all entities in the current drawing layer
Current block
This option will only be available if you are currently editing a sub-block. The calculation will be the extents of all the entities in the sub-block.
Current drawing
This calculation will be the extents of all the entities in the current drawing.
If this option is chosen then the Visible entities only and Recurse into sub-blocks options will not be available.
Selected Entities
The calculation will be the extents of selected entities only. Ensure that they are already selected before activating this tool.
If this option is chosen then only the Visible entities only option will be available.
Specified Palettes
Only entities drawn in the chosen palettes will be used for the calculation. To change or view the palettes press the edit button to the right of this option. This will display the Palettes form.
If this option is chosen then the Visible entities only, Recurse into sub-blocks, Include text, Include dimensions and Include graphics options will not be available.
Visible entities only
If this option is switched on then the extents will be calculated only from visible entities.
Recurse into sub-blocks
If this option is switched on then entities within sub-blocks will be included in the calculation.
Include text
Switch this option on if the extents of text entities are to be included in the calculation.
Include dimensions
Switch this option on if the extents of dimension entities are to be included in the calculation.
Include graphics
Switch this option on if the extents of graphic entities are to be included in the calculation.
As the options are changed the results will be updated. There is the option to display the final calculation in the Output toolbox when the form is closed.
